Pastels

Hello there loves!! How's your weeks going? Mines good, got my midterm and presentation out of the way. I think they both went well so that's always a good feeling. Thank god this was a short week though, so much closer to the weekend!!
I am loving pastels for spring, it's funny because I used to wear A LOT of black, and hated really feminine pieces. Well look at me now. Wearing a heart print, pastel blue dress, and loving it. I should really count how much heart print I have in my wardrobe, I fear it's verging on excessive? I love the pale blue, neutral khaki, peach and orange hues all together, they're perfect for this time of year!

That Spring Thing

Hey loves! Did you all have a good long weekend? I really did, after last week I needed a couple days off. I have a midterm today (already!) and then a group presentation tomorrow so this week should be interesting as well.

On Saturday I made an effort to do absolutely no work whatsoever and it was kind of awesome. My best friend and I went for lunch, coffee, shopping, and then I drove out to the lake to spend the rest of the weekend with my family! When we were out and about we noticed my lens stopped working, my 17-85mm wasn't zooming any more. So off it goes to the camera doctor for 4-8 weeks. I was able to pick up a 50mm for really cheap though and am loving it. It's going to take a lot of getting used to!!

This is what I wore out and about, it was warm, but windy, and a little cold? I can never dress myself adequately at this time of the year, it's so confusing. I really do love the print on this dress, it's so very springlike although kind of on the short side. With my denim jacket and thick blush scarf though I was pretty comfortable

Tropicana

Oh Friday, you lovable little scoundrel. How happy I am to see you! And on a long weekend no less, it has been a long week so I need some time to relax. I have a doctors appointment today for a check up. Today marks the first time they attempted to fix my heart 2 years ago now. The first time they screwed up. It feels like more and less time all at once, funny how that happens! 

This look was a hit with the older ladies who frequent payless first thing in the morning. I was at work and got so many compliments on this. To be honest, I've had this combination in mind for months, I wanted to wait for it to be warm because this is a very summery and fun combination. Teal and mustard/yellow are definitely perfect together in my eyes! And who doesn't love wearing pineapples?!

Keep it Simple

Spring is absolutely my favourite season, I love the blossoms, grass turning green, and how fresh how everything smells. I especially love being able to strip off all the layers that I've been bundled up in all winter long.

When it starts to get really hot too, I love easy, simple dressing. Cotton tops, swirly skirts and pretty sundresses are definitely my staples for summer dressing. I feel like my style get's ultra feminine in the summer months, that's for sure. So yesterday when the temperatures soared I decided a cool tank and fun skirt were in order, I decided to print mix these subtle floral's with my vintage polka dot skirt.

Citrus Lace

Hey there! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I definitely did, it was gorgeous out yesterday, so much so that now I'm burnt and have some hives from being in the sun. Having a slight allergy to the sun is kind of ridiculous.

 I went shopping to blow off some steam last week and when I spotted this yellow lace dress I knew I had to have it! I don't own anything in this colour and it's so perfect for summer. There's something about a simple sundress in the summer that I can't resist. It's so simple and refreshing to just throw on and go! I cannot get enough of these wedges either, absolutely the most comfortable heels I own. And I am addicted to any accessory with studs on them :)
