Happy Halloween

Greetings my dears! And a very Happy Halloween to all of you. I hope everyone had an absolutly wonderful time dressing up and pretending to be something different! I know I certainly did. A small group of us went to the local pub and hung out, having a few beers and a good time. I was knocking everyone in the face with my feathers and it was very funny.

Here is my Peacock costume, which I think turned out quite fantastic. I loved these feathers and I got so many compliments on my costume. Everyone was pretty impressed with my massive tail. I just stuck them into a styrofoam ball and glued that to a belt and ta-da a peacock tail! I got this very pretty blue dress some american apparel, it's the "le sac" dress and I am really love that theres a million different ways to wear it. I had my makeup all blue and green as well it looked really sweet, unfortunatly I did not get a close up of it! I was rushing to get ready pretty hard

This was I think my best Halloween costume yet! It was suprisingly easy to make, and now I have a bunch of gorgeous peacock feathers. I apologize for picture quality in advance, I wish I had taken some better ones, but we were having such a good time and were running low on time before we had to head out

Now I am off to give little trick or treaters some candy :)

Light My Fire

Light my fire to warm me up, it's chilly!! Another cold day here in Edmonton, Alberta. I can't complain though because soon enough we will be dealing with MUCH colder temperatures and I will be dreaming of days where it's only -3. It's supposed to be nice for the weekend, which is good because it's Halloween! I love halloween I must say, it's the best. Dressing up all crazy and getting into character, so fun. I am dressing up as a peacock, and thankfully got my feathers in the mail yesterday. I have to start working on it!! Ahhh!!

I really like this dress, its very feminine with the small floral print. I've always loved it with these small polka dot tights, for some reason to me they belong together! The only problem I have with this dress is that it's strapless (& i don't quite fill the cups completely) so I'm always tugging it up! So frustrating, but it's still a great dress. These boots are my moms! Yupp, the only things of hers I borrow, they're cute and have little tassles on the back.
I really appreciate the feedback on the aesthetics of the blog! I will try to fix the header once I get a moment to breath. It's been a crazy week and shall be a crazy weekend

Baby it's cold outside

Look at all that snow!!!Greetings my lovelies. As you can see, it snowed here. Yupp. That time of year again, it's been super chilly the past few days! Today the high was -2 degrees celcius, it's going to get down to -10 tonight! Brr! So needless to say I'm trying to dress in layers and keep warm on the way to/from school and trudging around campus. It looks so pretty out with the snow though! So I can't be that mad

This is what I'm wearing to school, my favorite dress from urban outfitters with a plaid top belted on top of it. I love this plaid, the green is so nice an plaid is always gret for winter. I threw on my purple beanie to keep my head nice and warm. And of course my new red purse. Thought I'd mix the print up a bit with my polka dot tights too.

Brrr, it's supposed to get a little warmer by the weekend! Hopefully because its halloween!

Good evening...This is my new bag. And she's gorgeous. So soft and suple, such a rich colour. Mmmm.

My old purse committed suicide the other day, I was walking to my car and both straps just fell off!! It was ridiculous. And made me sad, because I really dont have much money right now, but I got a good deal on this baby @ winners. Winner's is the best for deals on purses.

This is what I wore to study this weekend, that cardigan is super comfy and I added a long sleeve shirt for extra warmth because its gotten very cold here in the past few days. The high today was only 1 degree celcius and it was raining. Snow is a coming!! Ahh! Also I don't know how I feel about this sweater belted? I'm not too sure. It was really comfy and perfect for the day of studying and the chilly weather. I really like the light pink sweater with all the green accessories, and the dark sweater.

My best friend and his wife had their baby boy tonight!! I'm so excited to meet little Zakk and be an auntie! I get to go visit him tomorrow after my long day of classes.

So many tights!, long sleeve shirts, Wearing boots, big fuzzy socks, dark rich colours, gloves, thanksgiving, Turkeys, When you walk outside and you can see your breath, scarfs, being on campus in the fall = beauty

International wear purple day

Today was "wear purple day" to support homosexuals who have committed suicide because of being discriminated against. I have a lot of friends who are homosexual so of course I support this. I don't understand hating someone based on their sexuality, it doesn't affect others, it is a personal decision and that is all. I would hate on anyone because they were gay, lesbian, etc. I have much better way's to spend my time. And those who use religion as an excuse to spread hate make me sick, I'm no longer a religious person but I know that religion is supposed to be about love and acceptance. There is nothing accepting about being a homophobe, or torturing someone with slander, or even worse hurting someone physically.

Onto a more mundane topic! I had two more midterms this week, and they were hard...I am disheartened, but seeing all the people wearing purple on campus made me smile and feel better about the world. My friends and I in my psychometrics class are doing a test of "fashion sense" so everyone who would like to participate let me know. It will be a questionaire, taking not too long to fill out! AND it's fun :).

I love this dress, it's my favorite right now, the feminine fit, the pretty floral print, the zipper up the front! It just makes me feel good, and I got it for half off. So much better. The print has white, pruple, pink and grey in it so I paired it with my lovely purple tights from H&M, so nice and bright! I was going to toughen it up with my short boots but then decided to wear my studded flats because it just looked right. I'm wearing the most lovely shade of green nail polish as well. I am taking photographs for this council thing tonight so I am off and running to that! Ahhh! Busy!

The Fourth Wall

One of my good friends and I went to see "Mump and Smoot" this saturday evening. It's this awesome play with two sadistic clowns who speak in semi gibberish and are halarious. It was amazing! We went and saw them two years back and have been patiently waiting for them to return. I was walking to my class the other day and saw a poster on the while advertising for it! So of course we went, and it did not dissapoint.

I wanted to wear this amazing purple leopard print skirt, and decided to mix it up with my backless onsie from american apparel. I bought the bodysuit for a custom and have ended up wearing it several times! I love it, its kinda sexy, but not in too provocative way. And of course I adore my polka dot tights and little boots. Oh and I love my ring, I've had it for about two years, it's gorgeous. My mom bought it for me at a jewellery party and my best friends mom has the same one. Anyways other than that I studied a lot this weekend, went to another baby shower and that was all :)
