1. The lovely Cee from Coco and Vera spent some time over in Paris recently, and definatly fit in with the parisian chic in all her looks. This skirt is so gorgeous, the full fit and the colours are awesome.

2. I've only recently discovered this wonderful blog called Girl and Closet. I absolutly love her full skirt, the colours are so gorgeous, especially with the slight patterned tights and scarf.

3. From I heart this blog comes the perfect mixing of stripes and bright yellow, I love this combination, it feels so fresh!!

4. The lovely Caitlin from Waking Life, mixes yellow and blue so well. This outfit is so gorgeous and looks like it'd be perfect for spring! Finished off with brown accessories it's so great.

5. I am obsessed with not only the print mixing here but the way Vern knotted her maxi dress at the bottom! This really makes me want a maxi dress.

6. My fellow canadian from A fashion love affair rocks this maxi white skirt with the pink top. And some Killer heels! Makes me yern for warm weather.

7. I recently discovered Kendi Everyday, and she is the queen of the remix. This blouse is so gorgeous, and I've seen her wear it many ways. With the red skirt particularily I am in love!

8. Linley of dwelling and telling is wearing the most gorgeous polka dot dress ever. The colours are amazing, and the way she belted her scarf? Perfect.

Hold on

Photobucket

Greetings from indoors, since it is -26 outside with a windchill that feels like -36. I just don't have the lady balls to go outside in some cute outfit today. So I bring you what I wore to work, from inside my bathroom. We live in a house that my grandparents built so it's about 60 years old and has the worst natural lighting. So it gives me little options.

I am having some serious back pain right now, my lower back is very mad at me. I worked out hard yesterday, but thats not why it's mad at me. It's mad at me because for some reason PMS makes me have the worst back pain ever. Vaginas suck sometimes.

This dress is one of my favorites, I love the print and the ruffles along the neckline. And it's incredibly comfortable. The only problem I have with it is it has to be handwashed and ironed. What a pain, I can't take it on trips because it'll become a little wrinkly ball of a dress. I added my leopard print belt for some print mixing and my giant cardigan for warmth at work.

The city is a drag

Photobucket
G'day all. These are some photos from a few days ago. I went out for coffee with one of my good friends who was in town, then came home and cleaned my room(desperatly needed). That evening a bunch of us went out for "pasta frenzy" and had delcious pasta dishes for cheap :) It was a really great day.

Since I rustled this dress out of storage I've wanted to wear it all the time. I love rediscovering things in my closet. I paired this skirt with my purple cardigan belted over it this time and added my black scarf for some warmth. And then my mint shoes that I am in love with! I wanted to encorporate spring colours into my outfit, I think I'm officially done with winter. I just don't know if winter knows that yet...it's -20.

I leave for Victoria in 3 DAYS! Ah I better get packing soon! Apparently it's snowing there today?! But it's supposed to be +8 and a little rainy on saturday when I get there, so thats much better. I'm getting so excited, I have such a travel bug and need to satisfy it somehow.

Flavors of Ice Cream

Photobucket
Good morning, today is family day in Alberta, so I have the day off work! Which is good because last week I worked monday-saturday. I'm not complaining, I need the money for Victoria in....5 DAYS. I've started planning outfits and am putting lists together. I am really looking forward to it. I'm in dire need of spring, because it was -20 here for the past 4 day.

This is actually what I wore to work on saturday and then out to my Aunt's 60th birthday party (oh yeah, I'm so cool partying with the 60 year olds). It was actually really fun. They let my 16 year old brother be the bartender and he ended up drinking so much he was wrapped around the toliet by 11pm. Ahhh to be young again! Do you remember your first drunken experience?!

I'm wearing my romper that I bought a few weeks ago as a top, I can't wait for it to be nice and hot and wear it. I am wearing 2 pairs of tights, 2 cardigans and for good measure 2 necklaces. I bought these mint coloured shoes on friday, they had been calling my name all week. Mint! Vanilla! Strawberry! I based this outfit off flavors of ice cream obviously. Also, I love this "grandma" sweater I thrifted last weekend, I want to wear it always. As much as I love this outfit, having to pee while wearing it was tricky. 2 tights, a skirt, and a romper! Nice visual huh?

Taking a cue from some other bloggers I thought it would be a great idea to put together a post about some of my favorite looks from some of the blogs I read. There is always so much inspiration from other bloggers, it's kind of a good way to showcase it!

1. The lovely and incredible Annebeth really knows how to work this long red skirt with her patterned top and white beret. Look at the movement!

2. Harriet, aka CityOfBugs on chictopia always has the best mix, this dress I think was gorgeous, and looked perfect with that cape!! Oh and the denim vest underneath. Genius.

3. Zoe cullie, not only is she unbelievably funny and witty, but the lady has mad style. I love the way she wore these trousers, and that she put on a scarf to make us in colder climates feel better. Thank you zoe!

4. Coury is a new discovery for me, her style is whimsical and feminine, even in trousers. I think I really need to try some trousers out, I love that both these ladies wore pink belts.

5. My fellow Edmontonian, and bravest soul for weathering the cold Shy! I can't get over these pictures still. That dress she thrifted is amazing, such a lovely floral and the pops of yellow kill me. So gorgeous.

6. PrettyNiftyThriftyFashion, another Canadian lady! As you can tell by the snow...She's also working a floral print and yellow scarf, I really love her blazer here. She has an amazing collection of thrifted blazers and they make me jealous

7. Emma who inspired me to start doing this weekly review is a gorgeous Australian redhead. I loove the way she mixed her prints here, I am obsessed with print mixing and she got it so right!

8. Delightfully tacky, one of the first blogs I started reading, because everything she puts on, I feel I would wear. She has an amazing sense of style, and I love floral and stripe print mixing so much.

9. Rebecca is one of the sweetest girls out there, I loove this dress on her, so feminine and cute, and the fact that she added this hat and her red lips makes it so great.

10. Violetheart, I love the way she wore these lights colours, layers and layers of them, and then those awesome tights. So amazing.
I hope you enjoyed these looks!

I've Been a Searcher

Photobucket
Good morning all!! It's been kind of a slow week for blogging, not because I havn't been dressing up, but because it's been an extreme sort of cold. I've actually really liked everything I've worn, and I wish I had the guts to go outside and photograph it. Also my boss got sick at work so I've been picking up lots of extra hours :)

I think I took these photos on tuesday or something like that actually. This is the dress I got for.....ONE DOLLAR thrifting this weekend. I should have photographed it without the coat, because it fits really well which I was suprised by. It could easy be a work dress, very classic looking, but I wanted it to be a little funkier I guess.

Big patterned polka dot tights, my khaki jacket and awesome plaid scarf that Bryce's mom got me for christmas last year. I went to buy sunglasses for my trip to Victoria in 8 days and found these fake glasses, I've ALWAYS wanted glasses for some reason, so I bought these. They're so geeky I love it.

It's gym time, then work time, then weekend time!!

Taste of Spring

Photobucket

Hello all! I hope you are all recovering from sugar coma that valentines day often causes. My mom bought me a GIANT container of animal crackers...mmmm. This past weekend was one of the most gorgeous ones we've had in MONTHS. The weather was warm, sun was shining, and the snow melting! So on sunday I went for a little walk around the block and took some pictures :)

Today, however it is -22 at the moment.
I wanted to wear something casual because it was sunday, but I just didn't feel like wearing pants, so I threw some tights on and some shorts. First time I had worn shorts in ages. I layered my lace tank over a black one and wore my new cardigan that I got for 5 bucks from the thrift store saturday. I didn't even need a coat going outside!! I found some aviators laying around, because it was really sunny and lovely out.

Day of Love

Photobucket
Happy Valentines day lovelies!! I am not a huge valentine's person, mostly because I think it's made up. But I do believe it is important to try to appreciate the ones you love! Tonight my dad made alligator ravioli with crab, and Bryce is coming over to have dinner with my family. I made Bryce his favorite type of cupcakes, Red Velvet! I got the recipe from Sweet Monday, she makes brilliant cupcakes.
So Valentines day is basically just an excuse for me to wear red and hearts. And even light pink. I figured I might as well take part in the day stylewise! I grabbed one of my mums roses and took these pictures quickly. I really like this dress, it fits great, and has the most adorable print. I am off to the doctor (followup for my arm) and then work. Have a lovely day :)

Spread the Love

Photobucket

Hola!! It is sunday morning, the sun is shining and I'm feeling pretty chipper actually. This is my outfit from yesterday, nice and casual for a saturday afternoon spent thrifting! I found a couple thrift stores in town and went looking for some bargains.

I found a blazer, a bright blue suede skirt, and a black dress all for $3. I didn't have any cash on me (like a fool) and the lady behind me paid for it!! There are some really awesome people out there, she told me I just had to do something nice for someone else. The next thrift store I went to I found a sweater for $5, so I got the lady to charge me $10, and the person behind me in line would get 5 bucks off there purchase. It was fun to spread the love. AND I got such great deals. So I think everyone should go out of there way to try and do something nice for a stranger today :)

I wanted to wear my blue print dress that I got from Urban Outfitters, but I wanted something comfortable and laid back. It was really nice out so I was able to wear my new jean jacket and a chunky scarf. I switched over to my red purse for a bright pop of colour. I really liked the colours together, and this was a great outfit for running around. This jacket is my first ever Zara purchase, I don't know why I've never gone in there?! I will now. It was normally $60 and I got it for $20.

I went and played poker with my boy and a few of our guy friends and came in 3rd! Not too bad since it was my first time playing. It was really amusing because after the other couple guys folded they drank a lot, and I wish I had had my camera because halarity ensued. And I had to drive boy and other friend home because they couldn't have walked! Poker night with the boys was definatly a success haha!
