Playing Favourites

 

I hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween Weekend!! I had a great time dressing up and going out to my friends house. I think I'm feeling better, it was an odd on/off flu but I hope it's behind me now. I am so excited to hand out candy to the little trick or treaters tonight. I love seeing kids costumes, they're so cute!

This is an outfit from last week that I really liked. I decided to pair my favourite fall skirt with my new leopard print blazer. I cannot get enough of both of these pieces, they're so versatile. I seem to have been wearing a lot of leopard print lately, it's always been a favourite pattern of mine, but now I want to wear it all the time! I finally cleared out all my summer dresses and have been putting my more winter appropriate  clothes in my wardrobe and I am so excited to bust out my flannel and plaid dresses.

Best of the week, Halloween Edition

 

So I found the DIY for this rag doll wig on A Beautiful Mess and thought it was the cutest thing ever and decided I wanted to make it. I left it until the last minute because I was super busy this week, but I really love how the costume turned out. All I had to buy was the supplies for the wig, everything else was in my closet! (Sorry for the crappy flash pictures!)

Mustard Cardigan

Howdy darlings, hope your weeks are going well!! I'm a bit under the weather, it's really bizarre because I will be feeling fine then BAM all of a sudden I have a headache/dizzy/feel nauseous. And it's not everyday! It's a little bit annoying, and I'm hopeing it goes away.

This is the mustard sweater I've been going on and on (and on) about for the past week. When I saw it online I got so excited, the colour, the slightly oversized fit, the knit detailing. And when I got it in the mail I have to say it was even better than I had imagined, I got it wednesday and I've worn it 3 or 4 times already (and I throw it on when I'm at home..) I'm pretty sure it goes with everything in my wardrobe, so, you'll be seeing lots of this baby. I knew I wanted to pair it with a feminine dress as soon as I got it, this pink printed one was perfect for it, the colours look great together.

Berry Nice

Last week after hours of studying and finishing my midterms I somehow found myself on the forever 21 website and instinctively started browsing. I instantly fell in love with a chunky grandpa style mustard yellow cardigan, and then just as fast this leopard print pleated skirt. I was so excited when I got my package in the mail!! Theres nothing quite like getting mail (especially when it's a package of clothes)
I decided to pair it with my polka dot tights, and a bright berry coloured. I really am glad I decided to buy this skirt, it's a bit longer than most of my other ones which I'm liking and you know me and my leopard print obsession. Nothing cures the midterm blues quite like a leopard print skirt ;)

Walk in the Park, Casual Sunday

 

 So last week when it was beautiful out Bryce, Duke and I all went for a wonderful walk in a white spruce forest. It was such a great walk, and Duke was so amazed by all the new smell and sounds! It was hilarious to see him frolicking among the leaves, in the forest, he was really tuckered out after!! This was definitely the best of my week, enjoying all the beautiful autumn weather, and scenery!!This is a pretty casual look, I spent a lot of the day studying. It was so comfortable and I am obsessed with this scarf, Bryce found it at H&M and I had to get it. Annebeth actually has the same one, its the cosiest thing  in the world, could probably double as a blanket it's so big.

Ketchup and Mustard

Happy Friday my dears! I hope you guys are looking forward to the weekend, I most certainly am, sleep in a bit, get caught up on notes and relax!!

So I most certainly match the leaves behind me on the bushes haha. I love these bright mustard tights, I am so addicted to that colour right now (I'm wearing a cozy mustard sweater right now). I saw this skirt laying with my clean laundry and my mustard dress and loved the way the colour looked with the stripes!   I decided to pair it with a plain black top and my red scarf, hey if the trees can do it, why can't I?!

Colour explosion

Hey everyone! I'm finally finished midterms, so I celebrated by doing a little online shopping and meeting my best friend for a delicious lunch and walking around whyte ave. It was a seriously gorgeous day today, probably won't get more this warm!

So I tried on this dress back at the end of august because I really liked the print and the explosion of colour going on but I wasn't totally sold on it. It was $40 at that time and has some really weird pockets (they go all the way along the side from top to bottom) which were throwing me off at the time. But I left it at the store, and kept seeing it there until the price was right last week at $20! I'm actually really glad I bought it, it's really soft and stretchy material. A blazer and bright scarf finished the look off and was great to go from school to going out later.

PS. When I asked Bryce's opinion on this dress he said it "reminded him of an African lady, because of all the colour and print going on. But in a good way". What a gem haha!

Rusty Leopard

 

 Hello dears, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! Mine was really good considering how much studying I had to do. May have something to do with getting my bicycle from my amazing friends, and taking Duke out for some nature walks.

This is something I wore last week, and I can't get enough of this burnt orange/rust coloured dress. I bought it a couple weeks ago and want to wear it all the time. The colour is so fall perfect and it's neutral enough to be jazzed up. It actually has a cute little cut out in the back (which I forgot to photograph) which I love. And I am seriously smitten (ha!) with this leopard print blazer. I have some leopard print love and I find cropped blazer's like this flattering. Ohh and these are my new shoes I picked up on sale last week, basically haven't stopped wearing them. I can never get enough of shoes with little studs on them

Best of the Week & Casual Sundays

This is just a casual look I wore studying this weekend! Something really comfortable for sitting in for a few hours. I really love this checkered top, decided to belt it with my swapped vest. Being comfortable is seriously key when you're sitting trying to cram your brain for hours on end, and this worked perfectly.
