She's just like the Weather

Hello there! It's friday, thank god. I am really looking forward to this weekend and getting to attend Western Canada's Fashion Week!! If you're in Edmonton and area it's running until April 5th with a lot of amazing shows and designer showcases every night. I'm hoping to take in as many as I can, it should be a lot of fun.

This is something I wore to school yesterday, I am so excited with the weather. I can finally bust out my denim jacket again, so that means it's spring again, right? I  would love for this weather to continue and to start seeing blossoms and green grass, that would be awesome. I do love the colour combination of purple and a pop of neon, I find that lately I get a colour combination I like and just keep pairing them together.

Little dots

Good morning dears!! I hope your week is going well. For once mine is uneventful, just lots of school and hanging out, which is good! March has been a stupid month, I am looking forward to April, warm weather, and finishing off these classes.

This is what I wore monday, I bought this blouse on my shopping trip a few weeks ago and am so in love with it. It's actually somewhat sheer but for school I thought my bra was a little too scandalous.  It's going to be the perfect thing for hot summer days though!! I love the way it looks with my favorite mustard skirt; the beige, black and mustard was the perfect pallette for a bit of a grey monday. Oh, and this nail polish is "tart deco" by Essie and I am currently so obsessed with it!

White and Bright

Hello loves!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, mine was good, went down to Calgary on friday night to visit with some friends and it was just what I needed, it's been a rough week/month. Thank you for the comments on my post yesterday too :)

This is what I wore down to Calgary to visit and go out with some friends. My one friends is a wonderful photographer so I got to play around with his flash set up! So much fun and makes me want a fancy flash tooooo. I picked up this bright orange skirt from H&M last week for only $7, I was standing in line and this bright skirt caught my eye and I when I spotted the price I knew I had to have it. I can't wait for summer to wear with without tights on a hot summer's day. It has pockets!!

RIP

RIP Taz, the spaz, sir lumpsalot, frankenpuppy

We had to put down our older dog on thursday, he was about 16 and had a lot of bumps on his back which were causing him a ridiculous amount of pain. Even though we knew it was going to happen soon but it's really hard. Everyones pretty sad, and Mr. Duke misses his buddy a lot :(

Got the blues, got the reds

TGIF, seriously, what a week!! I am looking forward to relaxing and seeing friends this weekend, it is needed desperately. It snowed SO much here yesterday but obviously these photos are pre-snowstorm

I am loving the combination of chambray, denim and red lately. I don't think I'll ever be sick of this dress and it's easy shape, comfortable fit and pockets. Any dress or skirt with pockets is a friend to me. There's something about shirt dresses that are just so comfortable, I need more! I am in serious spring fever, clothes wise, even though the weather doesn't seem to match my desires

Busting out Florals

Hey Dolls! I hope you're having a wonderful week. I'm having  a strange one...ended up in emerg with a brutal migraine yesterday. So bad I couldn't see or understand what people were saying, but all is well it was just a migraine and nothing more. They got me all hopped up on some drugs, topped up on fluids and sent me on my merry way :)

I look a tad bit grumpy in these photos, they were taken early in the morning when it was still quite chilly out so don't hold it against me! I couldn't not share them because it was the first time for me to break out my favorite vintage floral skirt. Nothing declares it's spring quite like the floral skirt. So if I'm wearing it means its spring. Right? Anyways I print mixed it with my heart print tights, a ruffle necked tank, gray sweater and of course bright yellow flats! Can't get enough of bright flats

Neon Monday

Hello Loves, I hope you all had an amazing St. Paddy's day weekend! I went for a couple pints friday with a friend, and then my friends and I had a wonderful potluck dinner. We also watched Leprachaun 5 "in da hood" now I don' know if you've ever seen any of those movies, but, wow....terrible but so funny to watch with a group.

  I was feeling a little crappy late last week and I needed a bright colour combination to punch up my mood. A pop of neon always pumps up my mood, neon and purple seemed like a lot of fun together. I've been really looking forward to brights, neons and pastels for spring. Which is crazy because 3 years ago even I would have seriously shied away from colour. I was comfortable in black, greys, dark purple etc. It's fun to take risks now though

Luck of the Irish

Hey darlings!! It's finally friday! I actually had the biggest brain fart on wednesday and all morning I thought it was friday. I was disappointed to say the least. But, 21 jump street was really funny and I recommend it to everyone! I am really looking forward to it being the weekend, what a crazy long week!! I need a beer for sure.
 Luckily...
Tomorrow is St. Patricks day! That's always exciting, and I'm a pretty big fan. Why? 1) I'm a passionate little irish lady 2) I love beer, especially of the green variety and 3) I love the colour green. So it's the perfect opportunity to dress like the flag of Ireland, and all I'm missing is white. No one will be pinching me tomorrow, even my nails are wonderfully covered in mint. Check out my St. P's day post from last year and look how much snow we still had!!
Make sure you drink a green beer or two tomorow ;)
